GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

 

UFlex Duplex Slitter, Model: Eco Slit450 is equipped with vector grade Digital AC Drives and Asynchronous servo motors with Duplex Rewinder And Pneumatic disc brake for unwinder with the purpose of Slitting and Rewinding Printed or Unprinted Flexible Laminates.

                   COMPOSITION OF THE MACHINE

 

 

                        The following is a comprehensive list of major items of supply:

 

 

 

                        3.1       FLOATING UNWIND STAND

 

 

 

One (1) only floating unwind with pneumatic brake arrangement for reel spool. High precision owing to use of linear motion bearing operating through actuator.  

 

 

One (1) only line guide unit with Photo sensor is supplied to tackle badly wound parent rolls

                        3.2       UNWIND TENSION CONTROL SYSTEM

 

 

 

One (1) only Auto tension controller by electronic radius measure system is supplied to control web tension between unwind and pull station. The tension selection is available on the unwind control.

 

 

 

Necessary operator panels provided at unwind station for easy of operations. 

 

 

 

                        3.3       PULL UNIT

 

 

 

One (1) only Pull Roller, Independently driven by a digital AC drive and Asynchronous servo motors, and nipped by a pneumatic pressure roller.

                                    One (1) only blade holder assembly with one number of groove roller along with one (1) only Roll system to Transport slit web to rewind spools. Flexible to adapt to top and bottom knife cutting system (Feature available as optional)

Two (2) only Rewinder Stations both of them powered through individual Asynchronous servo motors Upper  and lower rewind shafts are held rigidly on front support assemblies mounted on rewind arm support and actuated through pneumatic cylinders.  A trolley is supplied to hold rewound rolls during unloading

                   DESCRIPTIVE SPECIFICATIONS

 

  

 

                        4.1       FLOATING UNWIND STAND

 

 

 

                         Floating Platform

 

 

 

The unit consist precise machined side frame, which are mounted on two grounded shaft through highly precise linear motion bearings. Unwind unit  oscillate through actuator and line guide system to positioned unwind as per the telescopic. A lead screw driven by the geared motor is provided for shaft less chucking and unchucking of the parent roll.

 

           

 

                        Breaking device is positioned with drive side frame.

4.2       UNWIND TENSION CONTROL UNIT

 

 

 

The web passes over a roller arrangement positioned between the unwinder and pull unit. With the help of unique electro radius measuring system, torque applied to unwind roll is kept on changing, based on diameter to maintain the set web tension in the zone.

 

 

 

                        4.3       PULL ROLL UNIT

 

 

 

Rubber pull roller, driven by independent AC motor (which acts as a master drive) on which a rubber pressure roller is nipped by adjustable pressure. The unit isolates unwind and rewind tensions. Individual pressure regulator are provided to differentiate the both end pressure of Nip roller.

 

 

 

 4.4       SLITTING STATION

 

 

 

                        This station consist of one grooved roller positively driven and are located in

 

                        Such a way for easy survey of slitting operation.  The blade holder assembly is pivoted

 

about a fixed position and can be swing into and out of engagement. The arrangement can be made for kiss shear knife slitting with appropriate shear knives at an extra cost. The desired slit width is set by sufficient number of blade holders provided with the machine.

 

 

 

                        Slit webs are transported on one number of take off rollers to rewinder.

 

                         4.5       DUPLEX REWINDERS

 

 

 

Alternate slit webs are then led to two (2) rewind differential shafts are driven from individual Asynchronous servo motors to give drive to each spool. An ultrasonic sensor always track for the changing roll dia and help in maintaining the roll spool surface speed with respect to main master drive. Direction is reversible to allow the material to be rewound with printing inside or outside of the rewind package.  The lay on roller pressure on rewind web is pneumatically adjustable.

 

 

 

4.6 Slit roll removal trolley: A trolley is provided with the machine, which mounted near to rewind unit for removal of the ready rolls from rewind shafts.

 

 

 

                        4.6       DRIVE SYSTEM

 

 

 

An AC digital drive system ensures ultimate control  of web  tension      through all the tension zones.

 

                        The location of Three AC motor is:

 

                        i)          One (1) Pull Station Motor (Main Drive)                      

 

ii)                  Two (2) rewind drive motor.
